Strava launches Athlete Intelligence as a mobile app

Strava, the digital community for more than 125 million runners and active people in more than 190 countries around the world, today (Thursday, October 3) announced the launch of Athlete Intelligence, a feature now available to Strava subscribers via is your smartwatch or your cell phone.

Previously operated in private beta by Strava, Athlete Intelligence is designed to help runners of all levels of ability and experience identify trends in their training and make fruitful adjustments to them.

The feature leverages the power of artificial intelligence to deliver personalized, understandable insights based on your activity data, making it easier for you to understand your current running performance metrics – and learn how and where you can improve.

According to Strava, Athlete Intelligence uses the latest technologies to analyze complex training data from the last 30 days. It identifies detailed patterns and peaks in your individual training, giving you a clearer and more meaningful picture of your running progress over the past few weeks and your performance towards your goals.

Athlete Intelligence also provides smarter insights into your running pace, performance, time spent in specific heart rate zones, and relative effort, which is Strava's own metric for measuring intensity, among other things.

Additionally, thanks to artificial intelligence, the feature provides you with tailored training tips to consider on your next run and, more broadly, help you improve your speed, stamina or stamina over time. And when you reach a personal best or other training milestone, Athlete Intelligence celebrates those wins and keeps you motivated to achieve more.
