Report: Davante Adams wants to join the Jets, open to other teams

It didn't take long for quarterback Aaron Rodgers to join the Jets in 2023, and talk of Davante Adams joining him at the AFC East club surfaced and hasn't gone away.

This week it got even louder. Adams requested a trade from the Raiders and the Jets were quickly identified as a potential landing spot for the disgruntled wideout.

Ian Rapoport of NFL Media reports This is a reunion between Adams and Rodgers is the receiver's preference. Although Adams would like to join the Jets, he's reportedly not taking the same approach to getting there as his former Packers teammate did before his own move.

While Rodgers was committed to joining the Jets, Adams is reportedly willing to work with other teams and the Raiders aren't focused on the Jets as the only possible destination. The report states that the Raiders will make the best possible deal for their organization and that they are not remotely interested in making anything happen right now.

As such, it's unlikely that a trade will happen until next week at the earliest, and it looks like a lot still needs to fall into place for things to happen so soon.
