If I meet McGregor in Spain, “there will be a funeral”

Ilia Topuria has issued a stern warning to Conor McGregor as the couple continue to feud.

McGregor (22-6 MMA, 10-4 UFC) pummeled UFC featherweight champion Topuria (15-0 MMA, 7-0 UFC) during a recent livestream sponsored by Duelbits. He said it remained to be seen whether he would meet Topuria while in Marbella, Spain, on October 12 to promote his BKFC event.

Topuria has long demanded a fight with McGregor, but after seeing the Irishman's inactivity, he called him unworthy to fight him. When asked about McGregor's threats, Topuria lashed out at the former UFC double champion.

“F*ck you, Conor,” Topuria said during an Instagram Live (h/t Full Send MMA). “All day, every day. He's just not on my level, not at all. Otherwise, I'd like to plant these knuckles in his brain to see if I could fix it and straighten his nose. He says when we meet you won't even look me in the eyes because you will shit yourself.

“McChicken. On the 12th he will be at an event in Spain while I will be on the front line and not as a spectator. I will be headlining an event. He missed something big. So deal with it, McGregor. Fuck you!”

Topuria headlines UFC 308 when he defends his featherweight title against Max Holloway in the main event on October 26 at Etihad Arena on Yas Island in Abu Dhabi (ESPN+ Pay-Per-View, ESPN, ESPN+). Should he actually meet McGregor before he leaves for his fight, he won't hold back.

“Conor, I’m going to dance on your head,” Topuria continued. “Conor's problem is that I'm hitting him in the forehead with these nuts right here and warming him up. Then I throw him to the ground and step on his head. See you soon. Let’s hope we don’t run into McGregor here, otherwise there will be a funeral.”
