KANSAS CITY, Kan. (KCTV) – An investigation has been launched after a man was found dead following an early morning shooting in Kansas City, Kansas.

According to Kansas City, Kansas, police, shortly after 7 a.m. on Thursday, October 3, emergency crews were called to the area of ​​49th and Dickinson Rd., near the BPU Nearman Creek Power Plant, with reports of a shooting.

When first responders arrived, they said they found an adult male with apparent gunshot wounds. He was pronounced dead at the scene and remains unidentified.

As of 10 a.m., investigators said there had been no arrests in this connection. The investigation into the case is still ongoing.
