Here's how high school football coaches in the Dallas area can nominate players of the week

The Dallas Morning News is committed to covering college sports with greater tenacity than any other media outlet in the country. To help us tell the best stories in North Texas, we're asking football coaches to nominate offensive and defensive players of the week and submit rosters, schedules, stats and results from their games.

Here's how coaches can submit everything we need for Players of the Week. Only submissions from trainers will be accepted. We publish the Players of the Week every Sunday online at dallasnews.com and in Monday's print editions The news.

What information is needed?

• Player's name and position
• Player's high school and year of school
• Player stats for this week
• Player statistics for the entire season
• Telephone numbers where the athlete and the head coach can be reached

Where do we send nominations?

These are the writers who will handle the nominations for the remainder of the 2024 season.

What is the deadline?

The deadline for submitting nominations is Sunday lunchtime, but the sooner you can submit them, the better.

How do we report statistics and results?

Submitting results: The Dallas Morning News is committed to covering as many regional games as possible in person, but there are times when we cannot have anyone at a game. If no one is at your game, Greg Riddle will contact you later in the week to let you know what we need.

Statistics corrections: Please send any stat or box score corrections to [email protected] every Sunday by 12 p.m. to be included in our weekly tables, but also to ensure our website is 100% accurate.

How do we send or update rosters and schedules?

Email rosters, schedules and all season updates to Greg ([email protected]) and Tom Washburn ([email protected]).

For playoffs, send all matchup information – including opponents, both teams' records, time, date and location – to Greg ([email protected]).
