BYU players get a rating boost in EA Sports College Football 25

PROVO, Utah – EA Sports College Football 25 has released a new set of reviews for October. BYU players were among the beneficiaries of a rating increase.

Although BYU is a 5-0 team in real life, it is still an underdog in the world of virtual video games with an overall rating of 80.

BYU's offense remains at 75 overall while its defense is at 80.

When it comes to player ratings, BYU saw 16 players receive rating increases in the latest EA Sports College Football 25 team ratings updates.

The most significant rating jump among BYU players was safety Tanner Wall. When the game was released in July, Wall received an overall rating of 58. After five weeks as a starter at safety, Wall is now at a 74 overall.

The highest-rated BYU player on College Football 25 remains defensive end Tyler Batty. BYU's senior captain received a slight improvement overall, from 84 to 85.

Another notable bump in ratings occurred at the quarterback position.

In July, EA Sports rated Gerry Bohanon as BYU's best quarterback. That has now changed as Jake Retzlaff goes from 75 overall to 78 points while Bohannon drops from 78 to 77 points.

In particular, EA Sports has strengthened BYU linebacker and sacks leader Jack Kelly. The former Weber State transfer went from 76 overall to 81.

College Football 25 has added two BYU players with notable ratings who were not in play in the initial publication in July. This is tight end Ray Paulo, who received a 79 overall. Then sophomore Marcus McKenzie achieved a total score of 75.
