Counter-Strike 2 has finally received a major update. It's just a shame that most of the changes are minor and the new Battle Pass has greatly annoyed players.

Valve missed the anniversary of its premiere, but Counter Strike 2 received a pretty major update. This is the biggest patch for the game in several months, if only in terms of the number of changes introduced to the second CS.

The creators haven't forgotten the game, but there's no denying that recent updates have been rather modest hotfixes, sometimes with literally single map or interface fixes. We will also find such changes in the latest update, but there are also some new features. Just not the one the players were hoping for.

Underrated armory…

For Valve, the biggest change is clear Adding the Armory, a battle pass available for CS2 Players with a Prime account. Each Armory Pass includes 40 levels of rewards in the form of special credits that can be used to purchase a selection of Armory items, including over 100 weapon skins and “charms” that can be used to decorate weapons.

The problem is that the Players aren't particularly enthusiastic about Armory Pass. With cynical frustration, they realize that they have to buy a pass multiple times (paying $16 each) to have a chance (yes, a chance) of getting the skin they want. The only thing that can be happy is skin dealers who – as fans point out after a certain interaction on X – have no particular interest in the gameplay (via Reddit).

The players' mood does not improve through the ability to remove “charms”… at an additional cost. However, it should be added that this somewhat defuses the situation When purchasing this accessory, the buyer will receive three free trailer removal tools. So the fee only plays a role if we buy a weapon with a “talisman” from another player.

…and good but modest changes (and mistakes)

This further increases the frustration of the players Aside from the skins, the patch doesn't really change enough. Yes, the list of changes is long, but a lot of space is taken up by “fixes” related to item personalization.

The patch also includes various fixes, but they are mostly minor improvements. Suffice it to say that we have a rather small change related to grenades in the gameplay section. The same applies to the network code.

Nevertheless, there is a certain fix that, according to players, significantly affects the gaming experience. This is about Fixed leg animations. It looks much better than before (more as we know it). CSGO), but it also increases the “readability” of the gameplay – now it’s easier to figure out what the player’s character model is doing (something users have been complaining about for a long time).

Nonetheless, it says a lot that this is probably the most important actual change in yesterday's patch. In the meantime, Players have been expecting much more for a long time: better anti-cheat, new maps, performance improvements, etc. A week ago, fans were irritated that the first anniversary of Counter Strike 2The launch escaped Valve's attention.

Worse still, The October patch added a number of bugs to the game. And we mean that in the truest sense of the word: the infamous yellow “ERROR” sign has been discovered CS2 Cards from many players. It looks fun (which brings up a lot of nostalgia for GMod and Source Film Maker fans), but players aren't happy that even such a modest update spoils their fun even more.

By the way: Lines were also discovered in the update code that are supposedly related to the new Half-Life. The same ones that already appeared in Deadlock.
