Predicted lineups, team news and score prediction

Tottenham Hotspur are on a real high after their 3-0 win over Manchester United at Old Trafford last weekend. The Spurs have now scored three goals in each of their last three games. This included a 3-0 win over Qarabag on the opening night of the Europa League. Ange Posecoglou's side face Ferencvaros in the competition this Thursday.

Spurs have not won a trophy since the 2008 League Cup. However, Postecoglou told Sky Sports that he “always wins a trophy in his second season”. This has put pressure on the manager to deliver a trophy this season.

The Europa League could be the tournament Spurs can win this season. Winning the cup would also qualify them for the Champions League – assuming they don't already do so by finishing in the top four of the Premier League.

Ferencvaros lost their first Europa League game of the season 1-2 against Anderlecht. However, they are currently at the top of Nemzeti Bajnoksag I and are unbeaten.

The Hungarian team does not have the most famous squad. However, they are led by Pascal Jansen. The Dutch coach was born in London so he will relish the chance to face a team from the English capital this week.

Postecoglou used some fringe players against Qarabag and he is likely to do the same this week. Radu Dragusin is suspended after being sent off against the Azerbaijan team.

Predicted Tottenham line-up: Vicario, Gray, Van de Ven, Romero, Davies, Sarr, Bissouma, Bergvall, Johnson, Solanke, Werner

Ferencvaros beat Puskas Academy 3-0 last weekend, with Saldanha scoring a hat-trick. Saldanha started this game on the bench but should have earned a starting spot this week.

Ferencvaro's predicted lineup: Dibusz, Gartenmann, Cisse, Gustavo, Civic, Abu Fani, Maiga, Ben Romdhane, Zachariassen, Saldanha, Kehinde

Spurs have never played against Ferencvaros in their history. However, the Hungarian team faced English opponents in Liverpool, Manchester United, Newcastle, Millwall, Leeds United and Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Tottenham, riding on the back of United's annihilation, should comfortably win this game 3-0.

Tottenham will face Ferencvaros on Thursday, October 3 at 12:45 p.m. ET. The game is available to stream on Paramount+.
