Teen dies after accidentally shooting himself in Hilltop

COLUMBUS, Ohio (WSYX) — A teenager is killed in an accidental shooting in Hilltop.

Officers were called to a home around 10:30 p.m. on Wednesday and upon arrival, they learned the girl had accidentally shot herself.

The girl was taken to Grant Medical Center but did not survive.

Homicide detectives are investigating to ensure the victim was the one who fired the shot.

Her age and identity have not been revealed.
